Médecins Sans Frontières /Doctors Without Borders is looking for a Head of Communications to work in for the Central America and Mexico Integrated Offices (CAMINO).

 

Workplace: Mexico City

MAIN PURPOSE 

This position is an exciting opportunity to guide an incredibly talented team at the heart of MSF’s Mexico & Central America public communications network. It is located at the crossroads between institutional and operational communications in the region.  

It also accompanies the ambitious Fundraising and Human Resources strategies being implemented in the region. Therefore, the work of the Communications team is central towards building MSF’s identity and awareness in Mexico and in Central America. 

 

OBJECTIVES 

  • To lead, guide and support the Communication Team based in Mexico City and in Central America. 
  • Along with the team, he/she will design and lead the implementation of strategies aimed at profiling MSF, with the objective of increasing visibility and building credibility of MSF as an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization, that also has projects in the region. 
  • To oversee all institutional and operational communication efforts and to contribute toward the development of initiatives that help advocate on behalf of the populations and patients of MSF in the region. 
  • To work closely with the Head of Fundraising, the Head of Field HR, the Head of the Digital Unit and the management of MSF office for Mexico and Central America in the designing of communication strategies aimed at boosting engagement, fundraising and recruitment efforts.
